Suspension lamp Maija with 50s flair

If you think of the nimble Maya the Bee when you hear the name 'Maija', you're not far off the mark with this lamp.

In fact, the Finnish designer Ilmari Tapiovaara found his inspiration in exactly this children's book character. The resulting 'Maija' lamp series is his expression for light. A feeling that has a deep meaning especially in the Baltic countries.

As before, this classic lamp consists of several round metal slats, which are arranged one above the other - like a beehive - and thus indirectly diffuse the light from the inside to the outside. A sophisticated piece that comes across wonderfully Nordic and filigree through the fine brass details.

Whether you prefer the lamp like the original from 1955 in nude rosé or rather the clear model in white, I leave gladly to you.
