The 'Lunar' pendant light is a beautifully designed combination of soft light and smooth black metal. According to Johanna Hartikainen, the young designer of the luminaire, it is inspired by the night sky. The design combines modern architecture with ancient astronomical observations. The three halos orbiting the opal glass sphere illustrate the cycle of the waxing and waning moon and give the impression of a magnificent full moon. Looking at the design from different angles, the phases of the moon change and cast harmonious shadows.
The minimalist design and sculptural form make 'Lunar' a delicate, distinctive piece above the dining or coffee table, both individually and in clusters.
