Floor lamp 'Cobra'

Not only the table lamp decorates my online shop from today. The lamp was originally designed by Greta Magnusson Grossman in the 1950's and got its name from the shape of the oval shade, which reminds of the neck of a cobra.

Greta Magnusson Grossman looks back on a successful career spanning forty years on two continents: Europe and North America and acted as a mover and shaker in the male-dominated world of mid-century modern design. Her achievements were numerous and included industrial design, interior design and architecture.

The Cobra floor lamp is a classic yet unique luminaire that can be bent in all directions with its flexible arm, creating a pleasant reading light or artistic light when directed towards the wall.
