Bar stool for high tables: 'Eames Plastic Stool RE High' unupholstered

The shell chairs by Charles and Ray Eames are among the most important designs in 20th century furniture history. The organically shaped shells made of fiberglass, recycled plastic or wire mesh can be combined with a wide variety of bases.

In close collaboration with the Eames Office, Vitra is launching the bar stool versions of the Shell Chairs: the Eames Stools, which were previously only available for furnishing larger objects. They are available in two heights and different materials, whereby the high version here is suitable for high tables and is made of the new, wonderfully sustainable recycled plastic - and without upholstery.

The base is a modification of the classic four-legged base of the DSX chair and is chrome-plated or black powder-coated. The geometry is adapted to the changed force curves of the higher sitting positions and a footrest ensures comfort and safety. This version is only intended for indoor use.
