Stool '60' by Alvar Aalto

A classic par excellence is this stool by Alvar Aalto. More than that: the 'Stool 60' is an icon of furniture design!

Aalto's stackable stools were first introduced in 1933 and represented a revolution because they were not made of classic steel, but of the curved solid birch veneer that Artek still produces today.

The secret of the success of this small piece of seating furniture lies primarily in its uniquely curved legs. This L shape was to be found later on in all Alvar Aalto furniture.

The timeless stool is made of birch wood and is available completely in white or black.

Or you decide on a variant with legs in birch natural and coloured lacquered seat. I particularly appreciate this version when I use the stool individually, for example as a bedside table in the children's room.
